IP Office 6.1 Software
AVAYA IP OFFICE LEVEL 6.1 SOFTWARE
AVAYA IP Office release 6.1 was mainly based on Release 6.0 however it added some significant enhancements which are detailed below.
The other significant changes with the introduction of level 6.1 software are listed below:
Phone Support
- 1000 series - 1010 and 1040 high resolution video phones.
- 1100 series - 1120E and 1140E SIP phones.
- 1200 series - 1220 and 1230 SIP phones.
- SIP extension support for video has been significantly enhanced.
Customer Call Reporter
- Supervisor dashboard display of statistics
- Customer call map
- Additional statistics for talk time
- Supervisor controls for changing agent status

one-X Portal for IP Office
- Redesigned gadgets layout including the ability to move, resize, open and close gadgets.
- Enhanced conference controls including the ability to mute other parties in a conference.
- Support on windows client PC's for the Call Assistant which can also be used even when not logged into the portal.

Preferred Edition
- Automatic call recording for internal calls
- Additional string processing options for generic actions.
IP Office Application server
The IP Office Application server is a single installation that provides one-X Portal for IP Office and Preferred Edition running on a Linux based operating system.
IP Office Standard Mode
For systems configured in a Small Community Network (SCN) IP Office manager supports a range of features to help simplify the management of those systems. These features include being able to open and edit the configuration of multiple systems at the same time and using a graphic view of the SCN to add and edit links between the systems.
IP Office Manager was enhanced to support the following features for multi-site deployments:
- Users are able to manage multiple IP Offices from a single version of IP Office manager.
- Support for up to thirty-two IP Office PBXs (phone systems) and one thousand users across the thirty-two nodes.
- Secure connectivity to get the latest configuration from multiple IP Offices on the same IP Office Manager.
- Common sign on administrator credentials for Single Sign On (SSO).
- Add or delete IP Office nodes to and from multi-site configuration.
- Back up configuration for all nodes in the multi-site configuration and offline provisioning.
- "Unique Extension" validation across multiple IP Office nodes in the multi-site configuration.

SIP Trunk enhancements
With the IP Office Release 6.1 the rich feature set of SIP trunk capabilities available with the IP Office continued to evolve. These included: Outbound proxy with enhanced DNS; P-Asserted identity for each outgoing call; Diversion header for call forward and Video on SIP trunks.
Music on hold
In previous releases having four Music on Hold (MoH) sources was achieved by using the single external MoH audio input socket and three internal .wav files. With Release 6.1 the number of MoH sources remained at four however it introduced the ability to program up to three analog station ports as MoH source. IP Office Release 6.1 systems can have a combination of internal .wav files and analog station ports not exceeding three in total. Additionally any MoH source can be set for outbound calls through the use of "short codes".
PARTNER Version
The following new features were supported for IP Office systems running in IP Office Essential Edition - PARTNER version. Note that the Partner product was not released in the UK.
For completeness, here is a summary of the PARTNER enhancements.:
- Up to 9 auto attendants.
- Emergency greeting mode for auto attendants.
- Phantom user support including phantom user mailboxes.
Release 6.1 also provides feature enhancements for the PARTNER version including: Multiple automated attendants; Different selector codes based on time profile; Direct Inward Dial (DID) to auto attendant support; Emergency greeting; Increased support for ATM-4 cards; Unique line ringing override; One-touch call transfer; TUI menu optimization and Wake up service.
